All committee members of the SHRLG were deeply saddened to hear of the untimely passing on Sunday, December 12th, of Lady Elaine Tyre. Voting rights of convicted prisoners detained within the United Kingdom

The Constitutional Reform Minister today announced to the House of Commons that the UK Government will amend the UK’s blanket ban on prisoners having the right to vote, implementing the European Court of Human Rights judgment in Hirst v UK.

The group organises seminars and roundtable discussions on human rights and is accredited for the purposes of CPD.
