New Blow to Rules on Suspects

The High Court has rejected attempts to introduce “control lite” orders which restrict the movements of terror suspects, ruling that they breached suspects’ rights to a fair trial. Following an earlier House of Lords ruling the Home Office sought to introduce less restrictive rules, but the High Court ruled they still breached the Human Rights Act.
